First Night Raleigh
First Night Raleigh is one of the biggest nights of the year! The fun starts at 2pm and runs through midnight, complete with a ferris wheel, a countdown to midnight, an acorn drop, and a fireworks finale.

iHeartMedia New Year’s Eve
If you want to celebrate with maximum excitement, then you’ll want to head down to Raleigh Sheraton, which will feature three ballrooms of live bands, DJs, party favors, champagne, and great Acorn Drop views.
New Year’s Eve Gala
For a quieter (but no less fun and festive) New Year’s celebration, head to the Nature Research Center of the North Carolina Museum of Sciences. There will be hors d’oeuvres, gourmet food stations, dessert displays, open bars, DJs, a live band, and more.
NYE at Unscripted Durham
Disco, dancing, drinks, photos, tarot readings… what more could to ask for in a New Year’s Eve party? It all starts at 9pm at The Unscripted Durham Hotel.
UK New Year’s Eve & New Year’s Eve Party
Head down to Fortnight Brewing Company to start the celebrations a little early. At 7pm, an all-ages event kicks off with some delicious food and drinks by 454 Grill Food Truck. Then, the main event continues from 8pm through 1am with plenty of cold beer and wines.
First Day Hikes
Want to get out and start off the new year with some invigorating activity? Check out all the First Day area hikes taking place—at Jordan Lake, Falls Lake, and Eno River State Park. The first Jordan River hike starts at 9am at the New Hope Overlook Recreation Area, and the second is at 1pm at the Ebenezer Church Recreation Area.
The Falls Lake hike runs at 10am at the Rolling View Recreation Area at the Neuse Bend Trail. Eno River’s hike is at 2pm at Few Ford Picnic Shelter.
